Indian superstar Diljit Dosanjh, Pakistani legend Atif Aslam and British icon Ed Sheeran: who wouldn't want to see these three music heroes together in the same space? For the majority who will have missed it, Dosanjh's tour producer Sonali Singh delighted music fans on both sides of the border (and beyond) on Tuesday by sharing wholesome images on Instagram featuring both Aslam and Sheeran meeting backstage at Dosanjh's concert Birmingham concert, part of his DIL-Luminati tour.

"Yes! Special it is, every single time!" penned Singh, adding a heart emoji, keeping her caption short, sweet, and to the point. Sharing a carousel of four images, one included a shot of Dosanjh and Sheeran walking alongside Singh, and another showed Sheeran beaming backstage at Aslam.

"So good to see Atif," gushed a fan in the comments section, as another rued the missed opportunity of seeing the performer collaborate with Dosanjh and Sheeran on stage. "Is that Atif Aslam?! Why didn't he join them?"

Two days previously, Dosanjh shared a video clip on Instagram of himself and Sheeran sharing candid backstage moments from his concert, which has skyrocketed to 1.4 million likes since being dropped online. With his video set to the tune of Sheeran's hit Shape Of You, Dosanjh hilariously added a segment where he introduced Sheeran as "Ad Shareen", leaving fans in the comments section in stitches.

"Love how he unapologetically Punjabi-fied his name. It is "Shareen" and not "Sheeran," penned one commenter alongside two crying with laughter emojis.

"The collaboration we all needed," wrote another fan, verbalising the sentiments of all those who fall in the middle section of the Dosanjh-Sheeran fan Venn diagram.

Earlier this year in March, Sheeran wowed the stage in Mumbai singing in Punjabi for the first time as he teamed up Dosanjh, crooning the latter's hit track Lover. Playing before a 50,000-strong crowd roaring with delight at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse, Sheeran sang parts of the chorus as he rocked on acoustic guitar, with Dosanjh hyping up the audience.
