FDE holds English speech competition

ISLAMABAD:

The Federal Directorate of Education held a secondary school-level English speech competition among boys and girls colleges of the federal capital at Islamabad Model College for girls G10-2 on Thursday.

The title was "Be part of the process of change." Students from 22 colleges of the federal capital participated in the event.

Principal Professor Shugufta graced the occasion as chief guest while Iffat Nazir and Fatkhanda Mumtaz participated in the event as judges.

All the students participating in the competition expressed their views that change is inevitable and said that we can see that every significant advancement in our world was born from the courage to embrace change.

Change begins with action. This could mean volunteering for a project at work, starting a conversation about a social issue in our community or even making a personal commitment to develop new skills.

According to the judges, Sanabil Almas of I9/1 and Wajeeha Mukhtar of ICG F6/2 received the first prize, Hina Noor of I10/4 stood second while Maheen Hussain of F11/1 secured third position in the competition.
