Laura Loomer threatens to sue CNN over ‘fake’ photos of her and Trump

Loomer threatens legal action after CNN airs ‘photoshopped’ images of her and Donald Trump, prompting retraction.

Right-wing journalist Laura Loomer has threatened to sue CNN after the network aired “digitally altered” photos of her and former President Donald Trump.

The images were broadcast during several segments last Friday and Saturday, including those hosted by Anderson Cooper. CNN later issued an on-air retraction, admitting the error.

“Friday evening and on Saturday, CNN aired a number of segments that briefly showed an image of former President Donald Trump and Laura Loomer taken from social media,” said a CNN host. “Upon review, this image had been digitally altered by a third party and should not have been included. We regret the error.”

Loomer, known for her outspoken right-wing activism, took to X (formerly Twitter) to call out CNN for defamation.

In another post, Loomer criticized Cooper for not personally apologizing and demanded a written retraction on X, stating, “If you do not issue a retraction in writing on X... I will sue you.”

However, when asked by one of her X followers if she really intended to sue CNN, Loomer responded, “They are just jealous haters… The best revenge… is to keep being you and keep doing what you do."
