Brett Favre disclosed that he has Parkinson’s disease during a Congressional hearing related to the Mississippi welfare fund scandal, where he is facing scrutiny. While such a diagnosis typically evokes sympathy, Jennifer Sterger, a model and television personality, took to Instagram to express her lack of empathy for the Hall-of-Fame quarterback. Sterger, who previously accused Favre of sending her inappropriate messages and images while he played for the New York Jets, shared her thoughts on the revelation, stating, “Karma never forgets."

Favre's controversial behavior first came to light in 2010, two years after the alleged incidents involving Sterger. Although Favre admitted to attempting to contact her via voicemail, he denied sending graphic images. The NFL fined him $50,000 for failing to cooperate with its investigation.

Favre’s Parkinson’s diagnosis has also reignited discussions about the link between football and neurodegenerative diseases. Experts like Dr. Thor Stein from Boston University’s CTE Center suggest that chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) could trigger Parkinson’s in athletes, though others argue it’s difficult to conclusively determine the role football plays in such cases. Dr. Kevin Crutchfield, a neurologist, added that Parkinson’s cannot be automatically diagnosed in football players. The NFL has yet to comment on Favre's diagnosis.
