Selena Gomez and David Henrie return in ‘Wizards Beyond Waverly Place’ trailer

Justin Russo takes on the challenge of training a young wizard, Billie, in the sequel series.

The trailer for the upcoming sequel series Wizards Beyond Waverly Place has officially dropped, featuring the return of Selena Gomez as Alex Russo and David Henrie as Justin Russo. 

This new series introduces a young wizard, Billie (played by Janice LeAnn Brown), who is described by Alex as holding the “fate of the world” in her hands.

In the trailer, Alex asks her brother Justin for help in training Billie, leaving the responsibility of the young protégé’s magical education in his hands. While Justin has been living a normal, mortal life with his family—wife Giada and their children, Roman and Milo—he must now revive his magical expertise to guide Billie, who is set to face significant challenges before she can fulfill her destiny.

The first two episodes of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place will air on Disney Channel on October 29 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, with the initial eight episodes becoming available the following day on Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand.

Alongside Gomez and Henrie, the show’s creative team includes executive producers Jed Elinoff, Scott Thomas, Gary Marsh, Jonas Agin, and the original cast members Gomez and Henrie. 

The pilot episode was directed and executive produced by Andy Fickman, with multiple episodes under his direction as well. The original series, Wizards of Waverly Place, was created by Todd Greenwald.
