DAULATPUR:

When pride is a way of life, trivial issues can become matter of life and death. In the Daulatpur town of Nawabshah district, three people were injured in a clash between two families of Dahri tribe.

A road was under construction and the two groups of Dahris came face to face leading to a fight over who will back up and who will pass. Soon the men stopped talking and lunged at each other with sticks and fists.

Meanwhile, someone took a pistol and fired aerial shots to intimidate the rivals. The reply came with warning shots from a 12 gauge double barrel.

Sensing the gravity of the situation, the labourers working on the road took to heels and took cover behind the bulldozers and tractors. Meanwhile, sane persons from both the sides pleaded for peace and called an end to the nonsense fight.

By this time, Sajan Dahri, Haji Khan Dahri and Sajid Dahri were seriously injured. The members of rival groups finally went their way, while the injured were brought to the Rural Healthcare Unit. Sajan had suffered a blow of wooden staff to his head and was therefore referred to Peoples Medical College Hospital Nawabshah.
