Islamabad police officer arrested for sexually assaulting two child beggars

Sub-Inspector Sohaib Pasha was caught by a patrolling police team in the act of assaulting the children in his vehicle

Sub-Inspector Sohaib Pasha of Shams Colony Police Station has been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting two child beggars, police confirmed on Monday.

Pasha allegedly abducted the boys, aged 12 and 11, from Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital and kept them unlawfully for two days without making an official record of their detention, according to police sources.

During their illegal confinement, Pasha is accused of physically and sexually assaulting the children, identified as Abdullah and Abdul Rehman. Sources added that Pasha beat the boys with shoes and sticks during the abuse.

He was caught by a patrolling police team, allegedly in the act of assaulting the children in his vehicle, leading to his arrest. After the assaults, Pasha reportedly dropped the children off at an Edhi Centre.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ali Raza confirmed the incident. “A case has been registered against Sub-Inspector Sohaib Pasha at Karachi Company Police Station. We are taking this matter seriously, and justice will be pursued,” Raza said.

The arrest has sparked outrage and calls for greater accountability within the police force, as the public demands strict action.
