Chappell Roan has been navigating the challenges of fame, opening up about her experiences with “stalker vibes” from fans and dealing with severe depression.

However, on September 21, she found a brief moment of joy during her Midwest Princess Tour’s recent performance at London’s O2 Academy Brixton.

In a lighthearted exchange, Chappell Roan spotted a concertgoer using an unusual device to take photos: a Nintendo DS. "B*tch is that a DS," she jokingly asked mid-performance, before encouraging the fan, "You keep taking photos on your DS, you keep doing it."

The encounter, caught on video by fellow attendees, was shared widely online, with Pop Base featuring the clip. It shows Roan locking eyes with the fan as they continued to snap pictures using the retro device.

Social media users quickly responded to the unusual sight, praising the fan for their throwback tech choice. One user commented, “Anyone rocking a DS today is seriously awesome, no doubt about it.” Another added, “At this point it’s a flex to record with a DS,” while others echoed similar sentiments.

While the fan remains unidentified, the lighthearted moment stood in contrast to a previous incident involving Roan, where paparazzi captured a tense interaction with a photographer at the 2024 VMAs. This time, the atmosphere was far more relaxed and fun.
