RAWALPINDI:

The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) for admissions to MBBS and BDS programmes in Punjab's medical and dental colleges was conducted in Rawalpindi.

The examination took place across 12 cities in Punjab, including Rawalpindi, on Sunday.

In Rawalpindi, the test was administered at two key locations. A total of 1,710 female students appeared for the exam at Barani University, while 1,100 male students took the test at the Law College on Sixth Road.

Strict rules were enforced to ensure the integrity of the examination. Candidates were not allowed to carry mobile phones, watches, calculators, metallic pens, or any electronic devices. They were required to bring their original national identity card, passport, B-form, or family registration certificate for identification.

Additionally, admission cards and photocopies of identity documents were mandatory for entry.

Candidates were permitted to bring two blue ink ballpoint pens, a transparent clipboard, and a clear 500 ml water bottle. Security measures were stringent, with walk-through gates installed at the examination centres. Entry to the centres commenced at 8am, and the gates were sealed by 9am. Section 144 was imposed within the examination premises to ensure smooth conduction.
