ISLAMABAD:

Monkeys have been causing a lot of mayhem in the sector G-6/3 for the past few weeks. On Saturday, however, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) staff managed to shoot dead one of them.

These wild monkeys have injured at least 12 children in the vicinity, which had created panic among the locals of G-6. Talha Saad, a resident of G-6/3 said that late evening a team of CDA arrived to capture these wild monkeys, but were able to find only one near Street 6.

They shot him dead and took the body away. “Many monkeys have been roaming around freely in the sector, unfortunately they are too fast for the CDA staff to catch,” Saad said.

“Even the children of the area, are up in arms against the intruders, who have bought toy guns for their defense,” added another locals. “On a serious note, the civic authorities should address this matter before more children get injured,” he added.
