Katy Perry has officially dropped her much-anticipated sixth studio album, 143, on Friday (Sept. 20).

The album, which takes its title from the numeric code for "I love you," is Perry's first since her 2020 release Smile, which reached No. 5 on the Billboard 200. Fans will recognize previously released tracks like "Woman’s World" and "Lifetimes" in the album lineup.

In addition to these singles, 143 introduces collaborations with Doechii on “I’m His He’s Mine” and 21 Savage on “Gimme Gimme.” Other notable songs on the album include “Crush,” “Nirvana,” “All the Love,” “Truth,” and “Wonder.”

In a statement, Perry shared her vision behind the project: “I set out to create a bold, exuberant, celebratory dance-pop album with the symbolic 143 numerical expression of love as a throughline message.”

She further elaborated on TikTok, calling 143 "a dance party" for all fandoms. "It's high energy, lots of love, mostly lots of love and BPM, summer, sexy. And it’s for y’all," Perry added.

This release comes just after Perry was honored with the Video Vanguard Award at the 2024 VMAs. During her speech, she encouraged artists to remain authentic, saying, “Do whatever it takes to stay true to yourself and true to your art."

You can stream 143 now.
