Anuv Jain's 'Jo Tum Mere Ho' tops charts in Pakistan
Indian singer and composer Anuv Jain's song Jo Tum Mere Ho triumphed over the Top Songs charts for India and Pakistan. The baritone savant took to Instagram to express his wholehearted gratitude towards his followers in a touching post.
"Jo Tum Mere Ho, my independently released single, is now the number 1 song in both India and Pakistan! This is my second consecutive song to achieve this feat. The first being my previous single Husn!" Anuv observed in the caption of his recent post.
"From an unfinished song that I used to fill up my set two years ago to the number one song in two countries in 2024, Jo Tum Mere Ho has had such a crazy ride. Honestly, I would've probably never made this song if you guys and someone very close to me hadn't asked me to. I'm so happy that I heard y'all. I'm so happy that I finished it. Thank you. This is all because of you. This is yours. I bow down to you," the singer further conveyed.
"This one feels sweeter than the last one. I don't know what the universe holds for us but we're here now, we're number 1... again! All my love to my team. They've given it their all. I hope I've made you all proud," he concluded, tagging all those responsible for the creation and success of his hit song.
As in the case of many of the singer's releases, Jo Tum Mere Ho waxes lyrical about the mundanity of lovethe all-consuming feeling that surpasses every trial and hardship. With respect to the simplicity of the song, the month-old music video also features a domestic setting where a couple, despite struggling to get by, holds steadfast to the promise of lifelong devotion.
The song offers a tender wave of relief from its hit successor and 2023 heartbreaker, Husn, which focuses on the silent pain of unrequited love. Anuv's newest hit emits necessary warmth against the fall's blues.
