Trump jokes 'Golf is a very dangerous game,' shares how he’d handle assassin on Fox's 'Gutfeld!'

"I always said golf is a very dangerous game," Donald Trump quipped on 'Gutfeld!' following the foiled sniper attack.

Former President Donald Trump made a rare late-night appearance on Fox News' "Gutfeld!" just days after surviving a second assassination attempt during a golf game in Palm Beach, Florida.

In his discussion with host Greg Gutfeld, Trump joked, “I always said golf is a very dangerous game,” referring to the recent foiled attempt where Secret Service agents spotted a sniper's rifle barrel emerging from bushes near the golf course.

Gutfeld humorously asked if Trump would have taken the shooter out with a 3-wood, to which Trump responded, “I think so, if I knew.”

The former president praised the quick actions of his security detail, saying, “The Secret Service did a great job,” adding, “We’ve been going through a lot of it. We’re getting very good at it.”

During the conversation, Trump opened up about how he processes these life-threatening incidents. “Being president is a very dangerous job,” he admitted, before reflecting on his faith and mortality, stating that he thinks “more about God” since the earlier Butler, PA assassination attempt.

Trump also shared humorous anecdotes from his political career, including a call from Minnesota Governor Tim Walz during a MAGA protest in 2020, where Walz asked for his help in calming the crowd.

The appearance marked Trump’s first on a broadcast or cable late-night show since 2016, and “Gutfeld!” continues to attract a broad audience of Independents and Democrats, further cementing its unique position in late-night television.
