Senator Faisal Vawda on Wednesday censured K-P CM Ali Amin Gandapur's "shameless act", stating that that the latter was "openly disrespecting country for power" and added that the PTI was on the direction to "dismember the country".

Vawda's remarks came in response to Gandapur's defence of Afghan Consul General Hafiz Mohibullah Shakir, who faced criticism for not standing during Pakistan's national anthem at a recent event in Peshawar.

In a post on X, the senator further criticized the incumbent regime, terming it "incompetent and coward" and noted that it had "not issued any condemnation or demarche" on the issue.
