Ananya Panday has been making waves not just with her acting prowess but also with the meaningful themes her projects touch upon. Speaking at the India Today Mind Rocks Youth Summit 2024, the young actor opened up about how her professional work aligns with her personal values, particularly when it comes to women's safety and empowerment. Though Ananya prefers to stay away from political conversations, she expressed pride in her on-screen projects that highlight important societal issues.

As per Hindustan Times, Ananya's recent speech shed light on her latest OTT series, Call Me Bae, which tackles the sensitive and relevant issue of MeToo. The actor said, "With great power comes great responsibility. It is very important for me to use my voice correctly. Sometimes, as an actress, I feel a little helpless because people say, 'Don't get too political or don't say that,' but I've realised when I work, it aligns with my moral and social beliefs."

Without revealing too many details, she hinted at how Call Me Bae taps into themes that stand up for women. She reflected on how acting in projects like these allows her to voice her concerns about women's empowerment in a way she may not feel comfortable doing publicly. "It is something that I may not have been fully able to speak about in real life because of various reasons. But, if I can do that through my work, I feel like that also has a large impact," she shared.

Ananya, who made her debut with Student of the Year 2, emphasised the responsibility that comes with being in the spotlight, especially in a country where the influence of pop culture is profound. "As an actor, I don't think I will ever do something that goes against my beliefs as a human being, because I know the impact it has on people," she said. Acknowledging how easily she herself gets influenced, she stressed the importance of being conscious of the work one puts out into the world.
