Kate Middleton has returned to her royal duties just over a week after revealing that she had completed her cancer treatment.

On Tuesday, the Princess of Wales held a meeting with members of the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood at Windsor Castle, where they discussed her Early Years campaign, according to the Court Circular, the official record of royal family activities.

The Royal Foundation states that the Early Years initiative aims to foster a “nurturing world” by focusing on ensuring children grow up healthy and happy during their formative years.

As per the Court Circular, Prince William, Middleton's husband, was not present at the meeting as he was away visiting special forces soldiers.

The princess resumed her duties following an update about her battle with cancer shared the previous week.

In a video featuring William, 42, and their three children — Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6 — Middleton announced that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment.

“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” she wrote alongside the video posted on September 9.

“The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”

The mother of three — who revealed her cancer diagnosis in March — described the experience as “complex, scary and unpredictable.”

“Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” she added.

“I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.”

Middleton was diagnosed with cancer shortly after undergoing abdominal surgery in January.
