After the birth of three cubs to a couple of African lions in the zoo, babies have born to different animals in safari park as well increasing the attraction for the visitors who are visiting both the places in large numbers to see babies.

Black bucks gave birth to seven fawns, spotted deer six, ibex two, mouflon got one fawn and camel gave birth to a calf. Mare (female horse) has also given the birth to a foal.

Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab directed the Senior Director of Recreation, Iqbal Nawaz to take special care of these newborn animals and pay special attention to their food and health.

Mayor said that the birth of baby animals in the zoo and safari park will help overcome the shortage of animals. He said that KMC is making efforts to provide recreational facilities to the people of the city.

He said that recreational facilities are also being increased in Bagh-e-Ibn Qasim, Aziz Bhatti Park, Hill Park and other parks. In Bagh-e-Ibn Qasim, labyrinths have been built for children and a cycle track has also been built, due to which now school children are also coming to visit the Bagh. He said that other parks and recreation places which are in bad condition are also being improved.

Wahab said that the construction and repair of rain battered roads have been started and efforts are made to complete the work at the earliest.
