Mohsin Nawaz celebrates his 10th international win

Pakistani Shooters Excel at European Championship 2024

KARACHI:

In a remarkable achievement at the European Championship, Pakistani shooter Mohsin Nawaz has made his country proud by securing a silver medal in the Day One Aggregate and a bronze in the 1000 Yard event.

Nawaz, competing as an independent rather than as part of the official Pakistani team, used equipment that was key to his success: Borden Action rifles fitted with Blake Barrels, known for their precision. This combination enabled him to achieve high scores and outperform many of the world’s top shooters.

Nawaz began his journey in shooting sports at a young age and has earned numerous accolades over the years. He holds a lifetime membership with the National Rifle Association (NRA) UK and has also received the prestigious lifetime NRA US Classification. This makes him the only Pakistani to have memberships from both the NRA UK and NRA US. And the only Pakistani to have won the most international medals individually representing Pakistan.

The latest achievement not only advances Nawaz's standing in the global shooting sports arena but also sets a high benchmark for future athletes from Pakistan in the sport. His medals have ignited a conversation about the potential for greater involvement and success in shooting sports within Pakistan.

Sponsored by Kahles Optics, Nawaz’s participation and success at the European Championship underscore the impact of effective sponsorship and quality equipment in international sports. The Pakistani shooting community, buoyed by Nawaz’s achievements, now looks with anticipation to future competitions, including the World Championship in 2026, where Nawaz is expected to be a strong contender.

The shooting community now looks forward to the World Championship in 2026, where Nawaz and other top shooters will have another opportunity to showcase their skills.
