Ben Affleck was seen giving a friendly kiss to his best friend Matt Damon's wife, Luciana Barroso, this week – just days after Damon was spotted holding Jennifer Lopez's hand, who is Affleck’s ex.

Luciana, smiling, embraced Affleck while he kissed her on the side of the head, dressed in a navy suit.

Luciana, who used to work as a bartender, wore a black blouse and slacks during her meeting with Affleck.

Matt and Ben have shared a close friendship for over 40 years.

Their big breakthrough came in 1997 when they won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Good Will Hunting.

Affleck is producing *Unstoppable*, a sports drama about Anthony Robles, born with one leg, who became a champion wrestler in college, even competing against the school that had rejected him.

Jennifer has a supporting role in the movie.

Affleck chose not to attend the red carpet event in Toronto to avoid a potential public encounter with his ex.

Earlier this summer, a source remarked on how the *Let's Get Loud* singer spent months attempting to save her marriage, but ultimately couldn’t overcome Affleck's internal struggles.

“She loves him, she will always love him, that's the problem,” a source close to the Wedding Planner the actress told Page Six.

"Ben has a darkness to him that no other person can fix. Jen Garner couldn't fix it, all the success in the world couldn't fix it," the source added.
