Former captain Younis Khan, in a conversation with the media, criticised the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), stating that even vegetable, fruit, and grocery sellers know who should be the team captain and coach, but the PCB remains unaware.
He added that sometimes he feels the PCB is like a crow trying to imitate a swan and forgetting its own walk.
He mentioned that his coaches had also told him that Younis Khan was not part of their future plans, questioning how a coach, uncertain about his own future, can decide the future of the players.
Former captain Younis Khan further criticised the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), stating that it seems the PCB still doesn’t know what it is.
Sudden decisions are made, and the coach and captain are changed. He remarked that Karachi has been treated unfairly, and departmental cricket should be restored here.
Younis also took a dig at the Sindh government, saying that looking at Karachi, it feels like he’s living in Mohenjo-daro.
He lamented that no one is paying attention to the city’s infrastructure, adding that he has never seen Karachi in such a state before.
Roads are built and break every six months.
He urged PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to reconsider his team, clarifying that while Naqvi's intentions are not in doubt, domestic cricket needs improvement despite the benefits from the league.
