Indian rapper Badshah reveals he owns 1,000 pairs of sneakers

Indian rapper and singer Badshah has revealed that his sneaker collection includes 1,000 pairs, with one pair valued at Rs2,200,000.

In an interview with a news channel, Badshah corrected a common misconception about his collection, stating, “You’ve heard wrong. I don’t have 500 pairs, I have 1,000. Out of those, I only wear a few. The rest are part of my collection.”

Among the highlights of his collection is a Nike Yeezy 2, valued at approximately Rs2,200,000.

Badshah explained that this pair, a collaboration between Kanye West and Nike, holds significant cultural importance in both pop culture and the sneaker community.

Although its market value has risen to Rs2,200,000, he initially purchased the shoes for Rs 600,000.

He stressed that the acquisition was driven by his passion for sneakers, not as an investment.

“I’ll wear them the day I win a Grammy,” he said, hinting at a personal milestone attached to the expensive sneakers.

Badshah also noted that while some people buy expensive shoes, watches, and other items as investments to resell at higher prices, he purchases them purely for personal interest.

"I buy shoes and watches for my own interest, not for selling," he added.

He also discussed his collection of luxury cars, including a Rs 8 crore Rolls-Royce, though he admitted he finds simpler cars like the Swift or Innova more comfortable.

Earlier this year, Indian rapper and singer, Badshah took to answering some fan questions on Instagram Stories, where he was asked who his favourite person from Pakistan is.

The rapper then revealed that his favourite Pakistani was none other than the legendary pop icon, Nazia Hassan.

Badshah replied to the fan by simply posting a picture of the Boom Boom singer to his Instagram Story, along with the question, and captioned it, “Quite a few but she’d always be the most favourite.”

Fans of both the rapper and pop singer were thrilled at this revelation, as they flooded the comments section of those that reported the news.

“The queen of pop music,” an Instagram user commented. Another wrote, “Nazia Hassan the legend, our childhood queen.” One user even stated that Nazia was “beloved all over the world.”

Another Pakistani Badshah has publicly praised is actor Hania Aamir.

The pair’s frequent interactions fuelled dating rumours among both Pakistani and Indian fans that fully kicked off when the actor took to her Instagram Story to extend warm birthday wishes to Badshah.

Since then, the two were spotted hanging out in Dubai multiple times.

Hania has put any rumours regarding a romantic involvement between the two to bed.

While on a recent podcast, she stated, “I sometimes think that my only problem is I am not married because if I was, I would have been away from so many of these rumours.”
