Mom sells Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets after singer endorses Kamala Harris

“She’s an out-of-touch billionaire,” the mom said, criticizing Swift’s “non-Christian beliefs” and political views

A mother has decided to sell three Taylor Swift concert tickets that she originally bought for her daughter’s 13th birthday, citing the singer’s endorsement of Democratic nominee Kamala Harris. 

In a viral social media video, the mom expressed her disappointment with Swift’s political stance, stating that she no longer wants to support the pop star due to her “non-Christian beliefs.”

“Hi, this message is for Taylor Swift,” the woman began. “Although I know it’s probably a long shot and it’ll never get to you, hey, worth a shot.” 

She continued, explaining, “My tickets are now up for sale because I don’t want to spend another dollar supporting you and your private planes and your non-Christian beliefs.” 

The mom, a supporter of former President Donald Trump, blasted Swift for being an “out-of-touch billionaire,” echoing recent comments by vice presidential nominee JD Vance. 

She argued that Swift’s endorsement of Harris was a mistake, claiming that “Donald Trump is the right guy for the job” and warning that if Harris wins, “the economy is screwed.”

The tickets, originally intended as a birthday gift for her daughter, are for the November 15 show of Swift’s Eras Tour in Toronto. 

The mother said her daughter has been a long-time fan of Swift but can no longer support her after the singer’s political leanings became clear.

Swift publicly announced her support for Harris shortly after a political debate, stating, “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.” 

Her post caused a surge in traffic to vote.gov, with fans and critics reacting strongly. The mother ended her video with a dramatic conclusion, saying, “so with that, I’m gonna shake it off, and I’m done with you.”
