Ohio woman arrested for eating cat following Trump’s pet-eating claims: Watch

Ohio police have released disturbing footage of a woman who allegedly crushed a cat's head under her foot and then began eating the animal while witnesses looked on in horror.

Allexis Ferrell, 27, was discovered with "fur on her lips and blood on her hands" when police responded to calls from alarmed neighbors in Canton on August 16.

Authorities have now released bodycam footage of the suspect following Donald Trump's bold claim that Haitian migrants are allegedly killing and eating their neighbors' pets.

“Officers were able to determine that Allexis had smashed the cat's head with her foot and then began to eat the cat,” police wrote in their report.

The GOP candidate amplified rumors that Haitian immigrants in Springfield had been consuming domestic animals, a claim that sparked intense discussion during the presidential debate on Tuesday.

However, Ferrell, the only known individual in the state recently involved in eating a cat, was identified as an American-born woman from Canton, located 170 miles away.

The strange footage begins just moments after police arrived to find a woman squatting over a cat, which appeared to have its head crushed, while she had her hands on the animal.

Officers confronted Ferrell and ordered her to put her hands behind her back before one remarked: “Someone got rubber gloves? She's covered in blood.”

She makes no response as she is asked her address and read her Miranda rights, before the grossed out officer warns a colleague to put a blanket on the back seat of their squad car.

“Smile for me. Go like this,' he says as he holds up a camera, 'Did you eat that cat? Did you eat it?’”

She shows her teeth for the photo, gives a slight shake of her head, but remains silent.

“Why d'you kill it?” he demands.

“'I don't know,” she pipes in a small voice.

“Get in there. It's ridiculous,” he says as he shoves her into the car.

The first reports of pets being eaten in Springfield were brought up during a city commission meeting on July 30.

Angry locals used the city commission meeting as a platform to express their concerns about the arrival of 15,000 Haitians, who have been granted Temporary Protected Status since 2020.
