SC halts contempt case against TV channels
SC stopped the contempt of court proceedings against live telecast of Faisal Vawda and Mustafa Kamal
ISLAMABAD:
The Supreme Court stopped the contempt of court proceedings against TV channels over live telecast of the press conferences of Faisal Vawda and Mustafa Kamal, after accepting their unconditional apology.
A four-member bench headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa heard the case. During the hearing, Faisal Siddiqui, the lawyer for TV channels, said that unconditional apologies had been submitted in the court.
The court accepted their unconditional apology and stopped the proceedings.
