One person was killed and nine others were injured when a speeding vehicle overturned after colliding with a Shehzore truck near Saba Avenue in DHA Phase 8 on Thursday.
Police arrested the driver responsible for the crash and shifted him to the local police station.
According to Sahil police, the accident occurred when a speeding Audi car rammed into the truck, which belonged to a private contractor.
The crash claimed the life of 20-year-old Aftab, son of Gul Hassan. The injured were identified as Shoaib (25), Farman (30), Hamad (30), Mashouq (35), Muhammad Hasan (25), Gul Muhammad (35), Ghulam Shabir (35), Muhammad Tariq (25), and Abdul Qadir (25). All the victims were rushed to JPMC.
Darakshan SDPO Manshya Rupita, confirmed that the driver of the car, identified as Aminuddin, has been taken into custody, and the truck was removed from the scene with the help of a crane. Further investigations are underway.
