KARACHI:

The Sindh High Court (SHC) has extended an injunction preventing the eviction of residents from Hawke's Bay and pending the allocation of 6,000 acres of land to the Defence Housing Authority (DHA).

During a hearing, the Chief Secretary of Sindh requested additional time to submit an implementation report, while Nazir submitted an interim inspection report. The court has maintained a stay on the eviction of Hawke's Bay residents.

The court has also directed the Sindh government to provide a policy regarding the land allotment to any authority or agency.

Representing DHA, Advocate Hakeem Ahmed submitted a power of attorney in a case. Later, the court adjourned the hearing until October 3.

The petitions were filed by the Hawke's Bay residents, opposing the allocation of 6,000 acres of land to DHA.
