Pak shooters shine at Euro Championship

They claim a team bronze and 11 individual medals across various events

Pakistan's long-range rifle team continues to make its mark on the global stage, achieving remarkable success at the European Long-Range Rifle Championship 2024. Demonstrating their prowess, the team, under the leadership of Lt General Ahsan Gulrez, secured a bronze medal in the team category.

Additionally, Pakistani shooters claimed an impressive 11 individual medals across various events, further enhancing the country's reputation in the sport.

A key highlight of the championship was Pakistani shooter Mohsin Nawaz, who delivered outstanding performances. Nawaz clinched a silver medal in the Day One Aggregate and a bronze in the 1000 Yard event, marking the first time a Pakistani civilian has medaled in these categories.

This achievement not only sets historic milestones for Pakistan but also underscores Nawaz's growing influence in the long-range shooting world.

This championship also marked a significant milestone for Nawaz as he secured his 10th international long-range shooting medal.

His consistent performances have established him as a prominent figure in the long range shooting sport, with his achievements serving as an inspiration to aspiring shooters in Pakistan and beyond.

"My success at the European Championship was greatly attributed to my equipment choices. The Borden Action rifles, with Blake Barrels 215 Berger Hybrid Target Bullets, and paired with Kahles Optics scopes and Cerus Stock allowed me to significantly enhance my accuracy, which was instrumental in my remarkable performance," told Nawaz to The Express Tribune.

In the European F-Class Championship's Rutland Cup, Team Pakistan Green stood out among 22 teams from nine countries. The team earned a bronze medal, finishing with a score of 589/600 and 59 Vs. This achievement marks the second consecutive year that Pakistan's team has secured a podium finish in this prestigious event.

A team of 18 shooters represented Pakistan in the championship. With their exceptional performance, the team brought great pride to the nation.
