Sony has officially unveiled the PlayStation 5 Pro, set to launch on November 7, priced at $699.99.

The new console boasts several key upgrades, including a larger GPU, advanced ray tracing, and AI-driven upscaling technology called PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR). It aims to enhance performance by eliminating the need to choose between Fidelity and Performance graphics modes.

Despite these improvements, fans on X (formerly Twitter) have criticized the pricing structure. Many users expressed frustration over the separate sale of the PS5 disc drive, which brings the total cost of a fully equipped PS5 Pro to over $800.

The PS5 Pro will include a 2TB SSD, a DualSense wireless controller, and a pre-installed copy of "Astro's Playroom." However, both the disc drive and the console stand will be sold separately.

While the console promises consistent 60fps high-fidelity modes, many are questioning whether the slight performance boost is worth the significant price hike, especially given that the original PS5, released in 2020, could achieve similar results for less.

Preorders for the PS5 Pro begin on September 26.
