Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif stopped at a roadside tea stall on her way back to Lahore after attending a Children Nutrition Programme ceremony in Dera Ghazi Khan.
She appreciated the traditional tea of DG Khan and conversed with the local people. According to an official statement, the CM enquired from the citizens about various affairs and they thanked her over the Rs14 per unit reduction in the electricity bills.
The chief minister said PML-N President Nawaz Sharif is deeply worried about electricity bills of the people. She said she and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif are providing relief to the people. The CM added, ''Price hike has been reduced significantly by making flour, sugar, ghee, pulses and vegetables cheaper in the markets. We are striving to the utmost level to provide further relief to the people across Punjab."
Meanwhile, the CM stated in her message on the International Literacy Day that the resources needed for the basic education of the neglected segments of the society were being provided.
