Altaf has Pashtun blood on his hands: ANP
Responding to Hussan’s allegations of the ANP misleading Pashtuns, Khattak said “aap ka Pashtun-duhsman chehra sab kay samnay hay.” He said the MQM chief should consider what the people think of him looking at the number of Pashtun bodies coming to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, FATA and Balochistan from Karachi.
“Nobody has killed more Pashtuns than the MQM,” said the ANP leader.
Speaking on the MQM chief’s allegations of US funding of the ANP during elections, Khattak said that the number of assets the MQM and its people owned in the United Kingdom and the letter written to then Prime Minister Tony Blair was something to be questioned.
“Where is the MQM getting the money for all this?”
Khattak said that the ANP would not rest until the killers of May 12 have been arrested.
The ANP leader said that Altaf Hussain had “verbally abused” all political parties during his press conference except for the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and this was because the MQM could get “seats” from them.
No ethnic fighting in Karachi: Shahi Syed
ANP leader Shahi Syed said there was no ethnic fighting in Karachi and it was the MQM that was targeting workers of his party, PPP, Jamaat-e-Islami and other political parties.
Speaking to the media in Karachi, he said the MQM should focus on national politics and not blackmail the government.
Syed said Altaf Hussain’s allegations had come because the ANP lawyer had provided solid facts to the chief justice during the suo motu hearing.
He said the MQM should speak with evidence and respond to the allegations made by Zulfiqar Mirza.
Syed said Mirza had placed the Holy Quran on his head when he made the allegations and Hussain had “danced and disrespected” the Quran during his address.
Speaking on the bus burning incident in Kemari, the ANP leader said that the MQM’s claim of only Urdu-speaking being killed was false. He said two Pashtuns and three Katchi community members had also been killed.
The ANP leader then brought forward witnesses who he said were relatives of the two men killed. He said the purpose of bringing forward the witnesses was to prove that Urdu-speaking people were not the only ones who had been killed.
“ANP does not need a certificate of patriotism from Altaf Hussain”
ANP leader Zahid Khan, speaking to the media earlier in Islamabad, said his part did not need a certificate of patriotism from Altaf Hussain or anyone else.
He said if anyone had any allegations against the ANP they should come to the courts.
Khan said everyone had seen the way Altaf Hussain had acted during the press conference yesterday.
“First he reference the Holy Quran, then he spoke about the Prophet (pbuh). I am a layman, but if the muftis keep quiet on the way he spoke, it will be damaging for the religion and society.”
The ANP leader said there was shadow of fear around Altaf Hussain during the press conference and he acted like “a person who does not know what to say.”
He alleged that the MQM leader had tried to impress the judiciary and had tried to create pressure by saying he would set his workers free in Karachi.
Khan said his party supported freedom for the media and that his party had never taken action against anyone who had spoken against them.
The ANP leader said none of the MQM leaders were able to respond to the allegations against them and Altaf Hussain did not want to respond to them.
Responding to Altaf Hussain’s statement on “foreign powers” working against Pakistan, Khan said that the MQM leader was a national of one of the powers he had mentioned and that he should tear up his passport and documents and return to Pakistan if there was such a conspiracy.
On the map shown by the MQM chief during the press conference, the ANP leader said the map had already been printed by the media in 1998.
“If you look at the press conference, he had nothing to say. He did not warn the nation and did not tell them anything.”
Khan said that it would be better for the country if a judicial committee is formed for an inquiry on which political parties are running on foreign aid.
Responding to the MQM chief’s statement that his party did not put up containers in the city on May 12, Khan said the MQM had its own home minister in place at that time and that the ports and shipping minister was from their party too.
“The containers were taken from Port Qasim. The ports and shipping minister was from the MQM at that time too,” said Khan.
The ANP leader said the powers given to the Rangers should be stay.
He said the notice taken by the chief justice and the operations in Karachi had helped improve the situation in the city.

I will simply say that Pashtuns are living in Karachi for longer time and so does MQM. This game just started in Karachi. And if we go in the history, it tells us that pashtuns has the blood of urdu speaking of karachi on their hands so lets not talk about the history of Karachi. Better understand the real issues of Pakistan, who is destabilizing the country by doing this to Karachi. Karachi is the guarantee of developed Pakistan and MQM is the reality of Karachi. Pashtuns make thier day income from urdu speakings and urdu speaking can not run the businesses of karachi without pashtuns. Stay with peace. AlthoughI can not forget what Saleem Safi said about Shahi Syed that "he doesnt have a brain to do politics".
This is very sad to see all the leaders of Pakhtoon showing their racism against one race. I just came to my office via a taxi and the taxi driver was Pathan from Sawat and he was telling me that most of the pathans in his dera here in Saudi Arabia love to work with Urdu speakings and they should be thankful to them for providing them opportunities to work. But leaders like these are bad news for Pakistan who are promoting racism and fundamentalism. This will be bad for Pakistan. We already lost half of our country and we can't loose any more. These racist ANP leaders should be Pakistani only and work on why Pakhtonkwa is the most corrupt province in Pakistan.
Pushtoons and Karachiites have lived like brothers and one family working hand in hand and for ANP to come out and shoot racist comments is deplorable and anti Pakistan. He certainly is using the innocent Pushtoons as his trump card and is desperately trying to fuel ethnic trouble in a desperate attempt to grab a seat for himself . . . . .how shameful. It was the Karachites that gave refuge to the Pushtoons in the worst of times and provided them jobs and livelihood with a warm and open heart as the Karachiites understand what their parents had to endure as refugees and mohajirs to form a country called 'Pakistan' for the benefit of all. ANP need to thank Karachiites for their warmness and generosity and should stop using the Pushtoons as their trump card as they are not their property to be used for their politically deceptive motives. . . . by doing so, ANP has done a huge disservice to the Pushtoons!!
ANP Should be Banned in Pakistan As they Were Banned in Past in 1970 .
There are lot of discussion and analysis on what Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza said and what Mr. Altaf Hussain said, but the main alarming fact are to be considered to the whole nation on serious and immediate ground; 1. A letter written to PM UK offering some odd activities in whole Pakistan, besides killing of Pashtuns in Karachi. Why UK is interested in Killing of Pashtuns in Karachi? 2. Why Police, Rangers, Military, ISI, etc etc are unable to grip MQM-A, who are involved in this affair, as these agencies were told by Zulfiqar Mirza long ago? 3. Should it be taken that UK and other are still supporting and they will carry out their plan as scheduled? If it is so then what is the contingency plan to counter these eventuality?
All these leaders are talking blood. Military needs to reset and overhaul the entire system. Honesty among the leaders does not exist and to wait for something like accountability, responsibility and honesty to emerge out of the blue is a Farce and wishful thinking of the ignorant. And that is the very reason why military should temporarily take over Karachi in some way so business can go on as usual and the bread winners can return home alive and safe!!

@Maulana Diesel: What a hypocricy! even "pious" and "God fearing" people forget the atrocities and bombardment on Pushtoons and Balochis in Zulfiqqar Ali Bhutto's regime, a lot of people fled to Afghanistan and lost their lives and some are still on Mountains never returning to their own home land.What a tragedy they faced and still blaming to them who provide them jobs, by eating Chaye paratha, from their shops, by getting mended their shoes,by purchasing rugs and "foren" ka maal and by trusting them and hiring them as chowkidaar for their homes and by commuting on their transports.in fact Karachi feeds them and treat them as brothers.I bet if Karachi starts a social boycott of them as they failed to befriend Karachi's natural citizens these people will start leaving Karachi from tomorrow.that's no one wants.So please stop every one igniting people against Karachites It's better for us to live amicably rather showing prowess to each other, on the basis of Launchers, and deadly weapons. this will only bring more miseries to these people who still haven't found peace and solace in their own home due to their own lack of political awareness and unable in judging the generous people.,who are their well wishers.
If Altaf Hussain has blood on his hands then lets not forget the blood of all those innocent people,children, women and minorities who have been murdered by the hands of Taliban (we all know who the Talibans are and where are they from ) and the rest of murders loose in Pakistan. Blamining one person for the sake of getting a seat in the house of power ia hardly conveincing, Try a more believable reason if you wish to make a case.

I consider them our brothers and fellow Pakistani but why people from Swat wanted to come down to Karachi. Wonder any single person ever moved to Swat in the time of crisis in Karachi.

You are right that Pashtuns are not taking anyone else's jobs. This is the deliberate well-planned strategy of political parties, all of them, to target innocent tea vendor, thela wala, and common laborers. No human being with any small amount of shame or integrity will target another human being in this fashion.

ANP has bee unable to provide protection to the Pashtuns in KP from the Taliban. Pashtun blood or rather human blood has been spilled relentlessly in KP more than in any place.And they are terrorizing the masses in Karachi; it is evident to all. The statistics are self-sufficient and speak for themselves.
ANP is not the spokesman of all Pushtoons but it is riding on their back for votes through exploitaion and the same is true of MQM, that it is not the spokesman of all Urdu speaking. So, all these divisive narrow minded talks needs to be thrown into the garbage. . . . . as they certainly are making their foreign enemies very happy to see the self destruction of the nation while the military still thinks whether 'To be . . .or not to be' a part of protecting Karachi and the national interest from within when it is being torn into pieces from within . . .its very soul. . . an obvious threat to national security. . . .

I think what is happening in Pakistani politics has already happened before in 1971. Same repeat episode as we all know that CIA predicted in 2015 pakistan will break. Why can't we live together if this will continue there will be at least 5 mini Pakistan's. May Allah Save Pakistan but it seems not going to happen.
@Maulana Diesel: You are absolutely right. Pashtun society is far more democratic and individual than most societies in Pakistan. The problem is that supporters of the MQM are taught that native Pakistanis all believe in feudalism so they don't distinguish between rural Sind and rural Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. If you want to see and appreciate true independence of the individual see the mind set and behaviour of people in rural Pashtun society. No one should be killed in Karachi whether Hindustani Muhajir or Pashtun Mohajir. Pashtuns and Hindustani Muhajirs in Punjab are not involved in this type of violence and live together there. We need to follow the same formula in Karachi that is used in Lahore. We are all citizens of the same state after all. This killing only pleases the enemies of Pakistan.
The reality is that parties like ANP has been used as a tool by some national & international forces to destabilize Karachi & Pakistan. Thousands of Pashtoons have been killed in KPK province where the ANP has all powers but unfortunately all their leadership is on the run and hiding in Malaysia or Dubai. The leadership of ANP should have the courage to accept the truth. We expect that Supreme Court should take action across the board against people involved in the Karachi violence and it should not be specific to a particular community or political party.

I m loving it... The one nation is out of the window it is purely ethnic now. Logical conclusion of a crooked system
All the politicians are even in destroying the peace, killing the innocent, using the people and young....neither is in fact honest.......Every party is helping or doing help of people for own interest to increase their vote bank....ANP has done nothing in the last 3-4 years in own province neither developmental, education and nor for other public crisis/issues. The same for other political parties too... All are Even. The Energy, food and security crisis are evident that no one had/has done nothing....people of Pakistan are facing devastating problems/crisis but no one can heard on these public issue/problem neither in media nor in so called Pak political parties meetings. No practical step have being taken even to know the root causes of these problems. Basically the so called Pakistani Nation is too dishonest and always votes for their self interest to each party not for their caliber or as whole party evolution of past experiences. The whole Pak Nation is equally responsible for and these crises will not resolve until the thinking, the selection criteria and attitude of the people at grass root level will not change. Instead of educated, well versed, for sighted and intelligent people selection in election, selection on individual interest and attachment is not fair and bring those people to assemblies, who later get busy in their bank-balance, property making and misuse of power against innocent or opposition and trying to increase the ratio of own people in establishment or Govt. institutes. If we look into the last 65 years of Pak history...very few honest, well character, well educated and particle worker one can find only.....while the remaining (99%) mostly were/are come with individual interests and power play. If not Why so far 99.9% our national/public issues are still hanging.....while during the time even the world most worst countries get better then Pak in the last few decades either in economic sector, industry, energy and public services. BECAUSE in Pak...The priorities of each individual, political party or even ethnic groups, unit of establishment and selection committees are just limited to self-interests/party interest or ethnic or approach (unjustice and dihonesty)…… even the county law get change day night to save their interests......The formula of majority is authority is totally wrong and incorrect…because majority has always been found guilty against one little truth…history is evident. One thing is clear, as for as there is no justice and change in attitude and thinking of people.....there is and there will be no development and no progress even for next 100 years ahead. Justice, Justice, Justice and honesty is the best policy in all circumstances.

Cheap Shot, you can't blame MQM and Altaf for tribal culture of fighting among Pashtuns of KP and Baluchistan, and it was Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto who banned the NAP now known as ANP for conspiring against Pakistan, so what Altaf Hussain has said about ANP is nothing new.

Mr. Zulfiqar Mirza has paved the way for Pakistan Army to take over the country to impose martial law in the country.
Mr. Asif Ali Zardari paved the way twice to dismiss Benazir Bhutto’s government and now Zulfiqar Mirza has paved the way to dismiss President Asif Ali Zardari’s government.
When martial law will be imposed in the country, every body instead of making allegations and counter allegations will say to each other “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”.
If Afrasiab Khattak is so patriotic about his Pashtun nation, which is nothing but a poor people living under abject feudal conditions, in the villages of Pashtunkhwa,which the lords of ANP and other parties represent, then tell him what has he or his party done to unite the pashtun 'nation' against the death and destruction in his own beloved Pashtunkhwa? The present death and destruction in Karachi is due to the feudal lords of Sindh, who never accepted the mahajirs occupying Karachi after partition, and will always find an occasion to kill as many mohajirs as possible. The only answer is to transform the feudal lords to capitalists, by exchanging capital for land that should be distributed amongst the villagers, who make the vast majority of the population of the country.
These old ideas that Afrasiab again and again repeats has brought us to nothing, he should be patriotic enough to help in the transformation of the country to a modern social democratic capitalist country and stop being a mouth piece of a party that represents an old anachronistic medieval order. But he, alas does not understand all this. We must fail.
That is very true. Pushtuns of Pakistan were really hurt when after the Swat operation they were not allowed into Karachi and now in Karachi they are being targeted. People forget that when the 3 million Afghan refugees migrated to K-P after the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, the residents of K-P, specifically Peshawar, graciously accepted them even though K-P is a very poor province.
