For the second consecutive year, Time Magazine has released its 'Time 100 AI' list, recognising individuals from around the world who are making efforts to prevent the misuse of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Among the notable names is Bollywood star Anil Kapoor.
The list includes global figures such as Meta owner Mark Zuckerberg and Google CEO Sundar Pichai.
Additionally, it features heads of various government institutions from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Leaders and employees from top technology companies worldwide also make the list.
Kapoor, alongside Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson, was recognised for their legal battle against the misuse of AI.
Both actors have taken a firm stance, demanding protection against unauthorised use of their names, images, videos, and voices on AI platforms.
According to media reports, Anil Kapoor sought legal protection, requesting that his likeness not be used without permission.
In a landmark case, the court ruled in Kapoor’s favour, supporting his fight against the misuse of AI.
Time's list highlights those taking action to ensure AI is used responsibly, adding Kapoor and Johansson to a group of global tech leaders pushing for ethical AI practices.
