Over 70 artists, art enthusiasts engage in a Q & A session

The Alhamra Art Museum recently hosted a thought-provoking session with acclaimed artist RM Naeem at the Cultural Complex Gaddafi Stadium, as part of its "Artist Talks" series.

The event, designed to foster artistic exchange, drew significant attention from the art community.

Moderated by Sulat Ajmal, the session featured renowned figures such as artist and educator Salima Hashmi and Alhamra Chairman Razi Ahmed, creating an intellectually stimulating discussion on art, culture, and societal impact.

Reflecting on his four-decade-long artistic journey, RM Naeem shared his evolution from Mirpur, Sindh, to becoming a master artist.

"Art is the ever-changing definition of our time, and that is its true beauty," he remarked, emphasising the power of observation in the creative process.

His reflections highlighted how art shapes individuals and contributes to societal peace and progress.

Chairman Razi Ahmed praised the Alhamra Museum's dedication to fostering dialogue, calling it a "democratic space for learning."

He underscored the museum's monthly talk sessions as a key initiative in connecting prominent artists with the public.

The Alhamra executive director echoed these sentiments, celebrating the vibrant nature of the Talk Sessions programme.

He described it as a dynamic platform for intellectual exchange, contributing to both artistic dialogue and public engagement.
