ECP disposes of asset concealment case

ISLAMABAD:

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has disposed of a case concerning the concealment of assets against Khyber-Pakhtumkhwa Deputy Speaker Surriya Bibi.

A four-member bench of ECP led by Member Sindh Nisar Durrani held a hearing. During the hearing, the counsel for K-P deputy speaker said an unidentified person filed a plea against his client for hiding her assets. However, no record of the petitioner was found nor the petitioner appeared before the ECP during the hearing. The ECP disposed of the case against the deputy speaker for want of plaintiff.
