Billboard has named Post Malone's "I Had Some Help," featuring Morgan Wallen, as the Song of the Summer for 2024.

The announcement comes as the summer season officially comes to an end, with the track reigning atop Billboard's Songs of the Summer chart for all 14 weeks between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

This is Wallen's second consecutive year topping the chart, following his 2023 hit "Last Night." The Songs of the Summer chart is based on a combination of streaming, airplay, and sales data throughout the summer months.

Country music made a notable impact this summer, with Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” taking the No. 2 spot. Kendrick Lamar's diss track "Not Like Us" followed at No. 3. Meanwhile, Charli XCX's "Brat" album, which inspired the viral "brat summer" trend, didn’t secure any spots on the chart despite its widespread online presence.

On social media, music fans expressed surprise that neither Lamar’s "Not Like Us" nor Sabrina Carpenter's “Espresso” claimed the top spot. Carpenter’s track finished at No. 4 on the Billboard chart, despite being an early favorite.

Streaming platforms like Spotify and TikTok also curated their own summer hits lists, with notable overlap. Chappell Roan’s "Hot to Go" was a standout on Spotify's list, while TikTok highlighted Tommy Richman’s “Million Dollar Baby” as its most-used track of the season.
