The government has decided not to accept the resignation of Balochistan National Party (BNP) leader Sardar Akhtar Mengal from his position as a member of the National Assembly.

A committee has been formed to persuade Mengal to reconsider his decision.

Sources indicate that the committee, which includes senior government figures, was formed under the direction of a top government official.

The committee is expected to meet Mengal at Parliament Lodges shortly, with Federal Minister Rana Sanaullah leading the delegation.

The committee aims to convince Mengal to continue his role in the Assembly.

If successful, a meeting between Mengal and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif may also take place.

This development follows Mengal's resignation, submitted yesterday, in which he expressed his dissatisfaction with the state of affairs in Balochistan and his inability to deliver for his people.

Mengal cited his lack of confidence in the state, the President, and the Prime Minister, stating that his decision was a result of the ongoing situation in Balochistan.
