Future is keeping his fans excited as he prepares to release a new solo album titled Mixtape Pluto.

The rapper, who already dropped two highly praised joint albums with Metro Boomin in 2024, confirmed the upcoming release on September 2.

The title Mixtape Pluto is a nod to the "old Kanye" equivalent for Future fans, who have been yearning for a return to his iconic mid-2010s sound.

To build anticipation, Future shared teaser artwork for the album on social media, along with pre-order links on major streaming platforms, captioning the post with "bout to drop...".

The existence of Mixtape Pluto has been hinted at since May when producer Southside mentioned that he had been in the studio with Future, working on new tracks that he promised would blow fans away.

"I'm working on Mixtape Pluto with Future right now," Southside confirmed. "It’s a new sound, like a whole new vibe. I'm ready to get these albums out... get this music out and start doing shows."

Future has been in a reflective mood recently, especially with the anniversary of his celebrated album Dirty Sprite 2, which represents the pinnacle of the "Mixtape Pluto" era.

This new project marks a fresh chapter, moving beyond his collaborations with Metro Boomin and signaling a shift in focus as he looks to captivate his audience once again.
