WhatsApp developing voice chat feature for Meta AI

WhatsApp is in the process of developing a feature that will allow users to choose the voice of Meta AI, providing a more personalized interaction experience. The feature, currently in beta testing with the latest Android 2.24.18.18 update, enables users to select from a range of voice options to best suit their preferences. 

This addition is part of a broader effort to introduce a voice chat mode for Meta AI, enhancing hands-free communication within the app. The feature is designed to allow real-time voice interactions, offering a quicker and more natural alternative to typing. 

WhatsApp is also testing a shortcut to activate this voice chat mode directly from the chats list, making it easier to initiate conversations with Meta AI. Users will have the ability to manually enable or disable the mode, with visual indicators in the status bar ensuring privacy and control.

The voice chat feature is still under development, with a release planned for a future update. Further details will be shared as they become available.
