The annual Back to Hogwarts event on September 1, 2024, delighted Harry Potter fans with a series of exciting announcements. Among the highlights is the introduction of “A Hogwarts Express Adventure,” set to launch in Spring 2025. Developed by Rail Events, this immersive experience will allow fans to board a real-life moving train, simulating the magical journey to Hogwarts. Although specific details are scarce, the attraction promises to be a significant addition for Potter enthusiasts.

In the realm of television, “Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking,” a competition series hosted by James and Oliver Phelps (known for their roles as Fred and George Weasley), will soon air on the Food Network and Max. For gaming fans, “Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions” is set for release on September 3rd, offering players the chance to experience the thrill of Quidditch.

The event also provided new insights into Universal Orlando Resort’s Epic Universe, scheduled to open in 2025. Teasers included videos and images of wizarding attractions, with a notable reveal of Imelda Staunton reprising her role as Dolores Umbridge for new scenes in one of the attractions. The expansion will feature areas inspired by 1920s wizarding Paris and the Ministry of Magic, offering immersive experiences for visitors.

In a unique collaboration, Puma has partnered with WNBA star Breanna “Stewie” Stewart to launch a Harry Potter-themed collection. Set to release on September 6th, the collection features new trainer designs that blend the world of basketball with wizardry.

Additional announcements included the release of the festive book “Christmas at Hogwarts” with illustrations by Ziyi Gao, and “From the Wizarding Archive,” narrated by Evanna Lynch, now available as an eBook and audiobook. The event also highlighted the global expansion of the Wizarding World, with exhibitions like “Harry Potter: The Exhibition” heading to Boston and Madrid, and “Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience” coming to Washington DC, Austin, and Montauban.
