Karachi to experience more rains as monsoon winds arrive from Bay of Bengal
Monsoon winds from the Bay of Bengal are expected to bring rain accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds to Karachi between 3rd and 4th September, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
On Sunday, the city experienced partly cloudy skies with a maximum temperature recorded at 32.6 degrees Celsius.
The meteorological department reported that moist winds from the Bay of Bengal are likely to enter the northern regions of the country on September 2.
These winds are expected to impact the western parts of the country by the evening or night of the same day, leading to rain with thunder and strong winds in Karachi on Tuesday and Wednesday (3rd and 4th September).
Similar weather conditions, including thunderstorms and strong winds, are expected in various districts of rural Sindh, including Sukkur, Larkana, Khairpur, Dadu, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Mithi, Mirpurkhas, Jacobabad, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tharparkar, Mithi, Umerkot, and Sanghar.
According to the Early Warning Centre of the Meteorological Department, Karachi is expected to have partly to mostly cloudy skies on Monday, with chances of light drizzle in the evening or night. The maximum temperature is expected to range between 30 and 32 degrees Celsius.
On Tuesday, the weather is anticipated to be partly cloudy, clear, and humid.
Sunday's maximum temperature was recorded at 32.6 degrees Celsius, with a humidity level of 76%.
