According to the Meteorological Department, dry weather is expected across Punjab, including Lahore.
The maximum temperature in Lahore is forecasted to reach 35°C. Light rain may occur due to the formation of local weather systems.
The spokesperson for the PDMA stated that water flow in rivers and streams in Punjab is at normal levels.
The water flow rates in the Indus, Chenab, Ravi, Jhelum, and Sutlej rivers are also normal. The PDMA and local authorities are on alert due to flood warnings in hill torrents.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had earlier issued a forecast predicting widespread rain, windstorms, and thundershowers across several regions, including Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.
The department has warned of heavy rainfall in these areas, with particular emphasis on northeast and south Balochistan, northeast and central Punjab, the Potohar region, and Islamabad.
Heavy rains were expected to lead to landslides in mountainous regions such as Murree, Galliyat, Mansehra, Kohistan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Additionally, there was a risk of urban flooding in low-lying areas of major cities including Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan, Sahiwal, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Nowshera, Swabi, and Peshawar.
