Fans of Steve Harvey are buzzing with excitement following the announcement of a new biopic titled Seventy-Two, which will chronicle the TV host's life and career.

Produced by Objectively Good Media, the film will focus on the pivotal 72 hours leading up to Harvey's iconic performance at the Apollo Theatre in 1993, a turning point that launched his successful career in entertainment.

According to Deadline, Seventy-Two will give audiences an in-depth look at the challenges and triumphs that shaped Harvey's journey from a struggling salesman to one of America's most beloved entertainers.

The film is being produced by Mohamed Kheir and Matthew R. Cooper, alongside East 112, a production company led by Harvey and Thabiti Stephens, Chief Strategy Officer of Steve Harvey Global.

Although the project is still in the early stages and a writer has yet to be attached, fans are already voicing their opinions on who should play the 67-year-old comedian.

On social media platform X, users shared their dream casting, with some suggesting Michael B. Jordan, Lori Harvey's ex-boyfriend, as a top contender.

Others proposed Samuel L. Jackson, Coleman Domingo, and Keenan Thompson, while a few humorously suggested Mr. Potato Head as the perfect fit.

Steve Harvey himself expressed his excitement about the biopic, stating, "I've been reluctant to make a movie about my life for years until I read the pitch for Seventy-Two.

It focuses on one of the most difficult moments in my journey and career, and shows the world that hope is never truly lost. Wait until you see what we do with this."

Harvey's career began in the 1980s with stand-up comedy, eventually leading him to host Showtime at the Apollo and star in his own sitcom, The Steve Harvey Show.

Over the years, he has become a household name, hosting numerous shows, including Family Feud, Celebrity Family Feud, and Judge Steve Harvey.

He has also authored four books and founded Steve Harvey Global, solidifying his place as a multi-talented entertainer and entrepreneur.

As production on Seventy-Two continues, fans are eagerly awaiting more details about the film and who will ultimately portray the legendary comedian on screen.
