Scotty McCreery, known for his heartwarming performances and country charm, took a stand against violence during his recent concert at the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo on August 24. The former American Idol winner was mid-performance when he noticed a troubling incident in the crowd. A man allegedly hit a woman, prompting McCreery, 30, to stop his show and call out the alleged attacker.

Concertgoer Jessica Rosario captured the moment on video, which shows McCreery pausing his rendition of “It Matters To Her” to address the situation. “Right here, that’s a lady you just hit, sir,” McCreery said, visibly upset. “Absolutely not, you just hit the lady. Police? Security? Is she OK? Get the heck out of here.”

Security swiftly removed the man from the venue as McCreery continued to voice his disapproval, saying, “On God’s green earth. At a Scotty McCreery show? What are you doing? Whoever you are, that’s the definition of a coward, hitting a lady. Get the heck out of here.”

After ensuring the woman was safe and the situation under control, McCreery checked in with the crowd and resumed his performance. According to a representative for the Colorado State Fair, the incident is still under investigation, and no further details have been released.

Fans praised McCreery for his quick response and commitment to ensuring a safe environment at his shows. The singer declined to comment further, but his actions spoke volumes about his stance on violence.
