LAHORE:

In a move aimed at curbing corruption and dismantling mafia networks within the system, the Punjab Traffic Police has reduced the tenure of staff posted at driving licence centres from one year to six months.

This decision, announced through an official circular issued by additional IG Punjab Traffic Farhan Mirza, mandates that officers and personnel, including in-charges and computer operators, will no longer be allowed to serve at these centres for more than six months.

The circular further specified that after completing their tenure, no officer or staff member will be reappointed to a similar position at any driving licence centre.

In cases where complaints are received, an inquiry will be initiated, and if found guilty, the officer or personnel involved will be immediately removed from their position.
