Security issues: Isaf commander sits down with Kayani

Discusses various topics of mutual interest and ways to improve regional security.

ISLAMABAD: Isaf Commander Gen John Allen, who is on his first visit to Pakistan after taking over the coalition command in Afghanistan, met with Chief of Army Staff Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, according to the US Embassy.

The two discussed various topics of mutual interest and ways to improve regional security. Gen Allen also met with US Embassy staff and received updates on the US security assistance mission to Pakistan. Gen Allen’s trip to Pakistan also included a visit to 11th Corps Headquarters in Peshawar for an operational update and discussions about security near the Pakistan and Afghanistan border.
