Kamala Harris's campaign took aim at Donald Trump for his recent interview with Dr. Phil McGraw, where Trump made a curious remark suggesting he could win California if Jesus counted the votes.

In the hour-long interview shared on Dr. Phil's X account, Trump revisited his experience of surviving an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, and reflected on the risks of the presidency. He claimed that being president is one of the most perilous jobs, even more so than being a race car driver. Trump admitted he hadn't realized how dangerous the role could be until he was warned by Secret Service agents not to stand at the Arizona border due to potential threats.

Trump also repeated unfounded criticisms of his Democratic opponent, labeling her a Marxist despite his limited knowledge of her beyond media coverage. He voiced concerns about mail-in voting, arguing it should be banned and claiming it allows for ballot manipulation, particularly in California where he alleged Democrats exploit the system.

Trump expressed a belief that he would win California if votes were counted honestly, citing what he sees as widespread support among Hispanics. He also mentioned the large number of Trump signs he observes in the state, despite California's long-standing Democratic preference, as evidenced by President Joe Biden's 64 percent win in the 2020 election.

The Harris campaign responded sharply to Trump's interview, mocking his performance. They highlighted Trump's apparent delusions and inability to effectively handle interviews, suggesting his appearance on Dr. Phil was another opportunity for him to air grievances and display erratic behavior.
