The renowned Puerto Rican artist has been widely celebrated for his ability to rise to the top of the global music scene, all while maintaining his distinctive style and unique approach.

With over 65 million monthly listeners on Spotify and a repertoire of hit songs dominating worldwide charts, Bad Bunny’s breakthrough has become a significant milestone in the music industry, paving the way for many others and securing his place in the history of pop and urban genres.

At just 30 years old, the singer and songwriter has won three Grammy Awards, including Best Latin Pop or Urban Album for "YHLQMDLG," Best Urban Music Album for "El Último Tour del Mundo," and Best Urban Music Album for "Un Verano Sin Ti." Additionally, he has earned an impressive 11 Latin Grammy Awards, along with numerous accolades from the Billboard Latin Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Latin American Music Awards, and MTV Video Music Awards.

It’s no surprise that he has now also been named the 23rd biggest pop star of the 21st century by Billboard. A few days ago, Billboard began ranking the 25 biggest pop stars of the past 25 years, with artists like Billie Eilish, Cardi B, and Doja Cat receiving honorable mentions. Katy Perry took the 25th spot, and Ed Sheeran was ranked 24th.

Bad Bunny has now claimed the 23rd position, being recognized as a "Latin trap phenomenon who conquered the world and transformed what it means to be a pop star in the U.S. and beyond." According to Billboard, he has become one of the most recognizable figures in pop culture, achieving this entirely on his own terms, without following trends or making artistic compromises. This makes his success even more remarkable.

As Billboard noted, “In 2024, Bad Bunny stands as one of music’s biggest cultural drivers. The list of accolades and accomplishments he’s racked up in his career to this point is astounding, but his truest legacy may simply be proving that you can be the biggest pop star in the world without compromising music, image or language for the American market,”
