Lil Uzi Vert has sparked concern among fans after being seen using what appears to be nitrous oxide during a recent studio session.

In the video, the rapper is seen inhaling a substance from a balloon while others in the room remain silent, raising alarms among his fanbase.

The incident has led to an outpouring of concern on social media, especially given Lil Uzi Vert’s history with substance abuse and addiction.

The rapper has been open about their battle with addiction, revealing in a 2023 interview with 032c magazine that they spent seven months in rehab, an experience they initially resisted but later acknowledged as beneficial.

Encouraged by Roc Nation boss JAY-Z, Lil Uzi Vert shared that the first month and a half of rehab were tough, but the support they received made it easier over time.

"I didn't want to do it, but I had to and I can say now that it was a great thing to do," Uzi Vert admitted.

Nitrous oxide has been a topic of discussion in the hip-hop community, particularly following claims that Kanye West was heavily reliant on the gas.

While West’s representatives have denied these allegations, the comparisons between West and Lil Uzi Vert have only fueled concerns.

The two artists share a mutual respect, with Uzi citing West’s "808s & Heartbreak" as a life-changing influence, and West referring to Uzi Vert as the "future" of hip-hop.

In the same 032c interview, Lil Uzi Vert discussed how sobriety had positively impacted their creative process, allowing for clearer thinking and more coherent music.

They also urged fans struggling with addiction to seek help, emphasizing that staying clean can "change your life" and improve overall well-being.

With the recent video causing unease among fans, many are hopeful that Lil Uzi Vert will continue to prioritize their health and avoid a potential relapse.
