Channing Tatum's year-long laundry avoidance: A tale of fresh white tees

Channing Tatum recounted assessing each shirt's wearability, aiming for at least two uses per week.

Channing Tatum's dislike for laundry has reached epic proportions. In a recent GQ interview, the "Blink Twice" star shared a humorous anecdote about his past laundry-avoidance tactics. He admitted to a time when he went an entire year without doing laundry, opting instead to buy new white T-shirts to maintain a "fresh" look.

Tatum playfully dubbed this period "the year of the fresh white tee," occurring around 1999 or 2000. He humorously recounted assessing each shirt's wearability, aiming for at least two uses per week.

This isn't the first time Tatum has shared his laundry aversion. In a 2022 VMan magazine interview with Jonah Hill, he discussed his style evolution, mentioning his year of fresh white tees and linking it to his Southern upbringing.

Tatum also revealed that his fashion journey has been a process of self-discovery. After experimenting with high fashion in New York and later feeling lost in the Los Angeles style scene, he found his groove with the help of friends like Hill and Zoe Kravitz, who encouraged him to embrace his authentic self.

While Tatum has mastered his personal style, it seems laundry remains a challenge. Perhaps Hill and Kravitz can offer some tips on that front next.
