Lahore businessman targeted in latest honey trap scheme
A businessman in Lahore fell victim to a honey trap scheme allegedly involving Pakistan's Deputy Attorney General, who has been taken into custody, according to police reports.
The incident was reported at Gulberg Police Station, where a case was registered based on a complaint filed by local resident Sohail Mahmood. The FIR stated that on August 20, a woman named Dr Maham invited Mahmood to a hotel in Gulberg under the pretext of a business deal.
According to Mahmood, a woman named Arooj arrived at the hotel with a man, followed by another man, and the three allegedly assaulted him. Dr Maham reportedly left with his wallet, business cards, and car.
Mahmood further alleged that an unknown man held him at gunpoint, forced him to engage in sexual acts with the woman, and filmed the incident. The suspects later demanded a ransom of Rs3 million to delete the video, as per the FIR.
Lahore police confirmed that Dr Maham and Arooj have been arrested. The police also identified the individual filming the video as Advocate Javed Kasuri, the Deputy Attorney General for Pakistan.
DIG Investigation Zeeshan Asghar confirmed the arrest of Javed Kasuri, stating that an investigation is underway. The police added that the women involved in the honeytrap are known criminals.
