KARACHI:

A young, married, and pregnant woman, allegedly abducted three weeks ago from the village of Ghagh Morri, Deh 341A, in Union Council Goniro, remains missing, while neither police have registered a case nor any effort has been made for her recovery.

The victim's family, including her father Hero Kohli, mother Jeeti Kohli, and brother, informed the media about the harrowing incident.

They alleged that Ramesh, along with his brother Laxman and another man named Lemmu, son of Raimal Kohli, barged into their home armed with weapons. They reportedly held the family hostage at gunpoint and abducted their five-month pregnant daughter, Ramun.

According to the family, the abductors tied Ramun's hands and legs and took her away on a motorcycle. The family further stated that another accomplice was waiting outside with a second motorcycle, though his identity remains unknown.

The assailants allegedly stole jewelry valued at over Rs300,000, which had been given as a wedding gift, along with Rs250,000 in cash that was being held in trust for the landlord. The family also reported receiving death threats from the abductors.

The next morning, the family reported the incident to Jhuddo police. Although police received their complaint, they did not register a formal FIR. Despite repeated attempts by the family to have the case filed, police have taken no action.

The family stated that Jhuddo police have asked them to submit a copy of their complaint to the Tando Kolachi check post, as the area falls under their jurisdiction. However, both Jhuddo police and the Tando Kolachi post police have failed to take any action. Disturbingly, the family alleges that Tando Kolachi police are aiding the suspects.
